Thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatric care for women's mental health. Specialising in life's transitions, from adolescence through perimenopause.

Meet Dr Stephanie Eichstadt

Qualifications: MBChB (UP, cum laude), MMed in Psychiatry (UP), FC Psych (SA).

I am a psychiatrist in Fourways, Johannesburg, providing evidence-based psychiatric care within a supportive and structured environment. I completed my Medical Degree and Master's in Psychiatry at the University of Pretoria, and I hold a Fellowship in Psychiatry from the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa.

I have a special interest in women's mental health and am continually pursuing ongoing education in the latest evidence-based treatments within the field. My work considers the biological, emotional and environmental factors that may influence mental wellbeing.

Throughout my training, I have been interested in the mother-child bond and how it influences childhood development. Having now had children myself, I am even more acutely aware of the hormonal changes and mental health challenges that we as women experience, and how special moments can be overshadowed by mental health difficulties.

I am dedicated to supporting girls and women as they navigate the unique transitions experienced, not just during pregnancy, but at all different stages of life.

Eden Nelson, Clinical Psychologist

Meet Eden Nelson

Qualifications: MA Clinical Psychology (UJ, cum laude), PhD Psychology (in progress).

Meet our new multidisciplinary team member! We are very excited to welcome Eden Nelson to our practice. Eden qualified with her Master's in Clinical Psychology at the University of Johannesburg, achieving Cum Laude for her degree. She is currently in the process of completing her PhD in Psychology.

She has a special interest in working with adolescents and young professionals, as well as in eating disorders, couples therapy, and women's health. The involvement of a psychologist is an important step in integrating patient care, so that we can provide you with the most well-rounded care possible.

"I am a registered clinical psychologist who believes that healing begins in spaces where people feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. My work is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and respect for the complexity of each person's lived experience. I strive to create a therapeutic environment that feels safe, collaborative, and non-judgmental — one where difficult emotions can be explored at a pace that feels right for you.

I work with individuals navigating a range of emotional and psychological challenges, including mood and anxiety difficulties, relational concerns, identity exploration, grief and loss, and life transitions. My approach is integrative and evidence-based, drawing on different therapeutic frameworks to meet each client's unique needs. Seeking therapy can feel daunting, and I deeply respect the courage it takes to begin this journey. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply curious about understanding yourself better, you are welcome here." — Eden Nelson
