Dr Stephanie Eichstadt Psychiatry

I am a Specialist Psychiatrist based in Fourways, Johannesburg. I completed my Medical Degree and Master's in Psychiatry at the University of Pretoria, and earned a Fellowship in Psychiatry from The Colleges of Medicine of South Africa.

I have a special interest in women’s mental health and am continually pursuing ongoing education in the latest evidence-based treatments within the field .

Throughout my training, I have been interested in the mother child bond and how it influences childhood development. Having now had children myself, I am even more acutely aware of the hormonal changes and mental health challenges that we as women experience, and how special moments can be overshadowed by mental health difficulties. I am dedicated to supporting girls and women as they navigate the unique transitions experienced, not just during pregnancy, but at all different stages of life.
